What’s new in TDG, March releases (part 2)

Spring is here, and along with it a very long list of new features and improvements that TDG users can leverage. Read part 1 first, or let’s just dive into it!

P&ID improvements

We’ve published an enhanced version of the TDG’s Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams. It now supports existing biology units and secondary clarifiers.

The output document has also been changed based on user feedback: the page has been enlarged and items were moved closer to each other to improve structure.

Making the TDG easier to use

We get a lot of feedback on how you use the TDG and how we could make it more seamless. As more and more users try optioneering with TDG on the go, they need to have the suggested values available on mobile. From now on, those are available within the text fields.

The Transcend Design Generator not only handles generative design for Wastewater Treatment Plants, but we’ve recently introduced the Power Substation designer capabilities too. We’ve added a Dashboard selector for users who have access to both. (If you’d like to know more about Substation designs or Toolshed, please contact us!)

For security reasons, you have to log off and on again after certain time periods. To make this less annoying, after logging in, you’ll continue your journey on exactly the same page where you left off.

Multiple Language Support

Most of our users use TDG in English, but it is now available in Portuguese as well, on demand.

Security updates

We’ve recently announced that Transcend had successfully completed its first SOC 2 Type 2 audit, reinforcing our commitment to data security and privacy. As part of these ongoing efforts, we’ve implemented a disaster recovery plan and recurring backup audits, so you won’t have to worry about losing any of your data.

Thanks for using Transcend!
